Hey Lauren,

Feel for you, because I'm going through something very similar. My gf already lived far away, about 1500km, and we only say each other during holidays and occasionally when I was up in her city on business.

She is leaving this week to begin studying at a university in a different town. So now when I go up to where she lived I won't even get to see her. And the chances I go to the town where she will be studying is even less because there is no business there.

The thing is, she seems to be very excited and happy about leaving to go to varsity. Initially she was supposed to go to a university here in the city I live in, but her parents want her to go to a different one for a year, and then if we're still interested in each other, she can transfer to the varsity in my city. Parents... getting involved... is CRAP.

I can see how excited she is and I know how much she is going to enjoy it, and yet I can't be happy for her. She seems to be taking the entire situation perfectly well, while I suffer.

She seems to be detaching herself, and I cannot do that. Don't know how, nor do I want to...

Lets see how it turns out in the end.
