| | visajourney dot com is very helpful. it is MUCH easier to get a visa to the U.K. than for the U.S. i consulted an immigration attorney and apparently if you file in the U.S. your fiance(e) can't even visit for the 6 months or so it takes to process the visa. again, i can only fly out to see him during this time. it's been tough and i have never been so sad & irritable in all my life as having to be apart from my fiance. it's just so tough. i'm going to hang in there though (he should be allowed entry in June or July) and i wish you the best of luck!
