I'm new to this board but like the info I've been reading. I'm divorced with three children, 19, 14 and 7. I met someone through the Internet and we've really hit it off. The difficult part is he lives in New York and I live in Hawaii. We have talked a lot about a future together and he says he wants to marry me. The problem is me. I want to think this can be successful, but I am struggling with the distance. We do IM and talk daily and do have plans to meet in September. Maybe I'll feel better after we finally meet, or as time passes and I get used to this new type of relationship.

Also, he has mentioned that he would like for me to come to NY to live with him after we marry. I am certain that would mean leaving my two younger children here in Hawaii and having to be a long distance parent, as their father would not be so agreeable to have them move with me.

I really do have strong feelings for him and would love to spend the rest of my life with him. He is being supportive and said he would not make me choose between him and my kids and that he would be willing to move here too, but he's hoping to get a job with the USPS and if he does, he has to work in NY for at least a year before trying to transfer. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.
