Long Distance Relationship
Story of the Week
I met my boyfriend at a hotel on Christmas Day. Both of our extended families are from the same town. I talked to him for a little bit, introduced ourselves and the like, but never exchanged email or phone numbers. He knew where I went to school and that we were from the same area.
When he returned home from Christmas he found out my last name and then looked up my email address in the student directory. He emailed me and I decided to reply to his emails. I recieved the first one about a month later so I didn't really remeber all the details of our initial encounter.
I didn't rember what he looked like, how old he was, stuff like that. Pretty soon we were emailing each other every week and we established a friendship via email. One time he was pretty drunk and emailed me his phone number. About a month after he did that I got stood up for a date, drank my sorrows away, and called him. I was comming home the next morning and I was curious.
We ended up going on a date the next night and had a really good time We decided that we should go on a second date before I left for school again. We ended up talking in a parking lot until 4:30 in the morning. I went back to school and we had a phone based relationship for about a month until he drove down to where I go to school. He picked me up and brought me home for a weekend.
I went back to school and then came back for an entire week after my finals were done. We decided to make our relationship exclusive and so far its working out. We see each other about once every 2 to 4 weeks so its not so bad. Before we depart we always known in advance when we will see each other next.
We have had our ups and downs, mostly ups, and we hope to be together for a long time. We have made it six months already and everything is looking good.
