Long Distance Relationship
It all started when my friend, Mandy asked me to go to her aunt's wedding for a weekend in the summer. It never crossed my mind that I would meet someone there, someone very special to me.
The day I arrived was quite boring, there was no body in town that we knew and all we could do was walk up and down the streets like a couple tourists just checking out the place.
The town was quiet, until we manage to get into a wedding social the night before Mandy's aunt's big day. The music was blarring and it was really fun but I still couldn't get over the fact that I was alone inside.
It was still the same night, when the most annoying person in the world came around to talk to us, Mandy and I. His name was Steve and he wasn't going away anytime soon either.
The next day, after the wedding, you guessed it, we ran into Steve uptown. I thought to myself, "we're never going to get any guys with this freak around," but i was wrong. About a half hour later i met the sweetest, most gorgeous guy in the world, his name was Ken.
For about two hours we walked around town, secretly, hiding our feelings for each other but that was all about to change. When we got to Mandy's aunt's place we sat down on the street and talked for a bit. Me, being the stupid person I am, did not realize that Ken was trying to kiss me, right there on the street, but like I said I'm not the smartest person and as he moved in, i turned away from him. God how I regreted that moved. How could I be dumb?
Later that day we had to say goodbye. It really sucked but it had to be done. So I did it.
The next morning we left back for Manitoba, home, and all I could think about was Ken and how I should have made my move when i had the chance.
We got back to Mandy's place in what seemed as a shoprt period of time and we added the email addresses that we got from some of the people we had met in Ontario and there he was, Ken's email showed up in the screen (just like all of the other annoying sounds when people come online) but it was different this time. He was very soft-spoken, if that's possible over the internet but what ever. I knew that he was going to ask me something but I didn't know what it was. About 5 minutes later he asked me out and I said "yes" of course.
We've now been going out for arounf 7 1/2 months and we're stronger than ever.
I love you Ken!
