Long Distance Relationship
Story of the Week
I have a summer job which i have been working at for several years, this particular company hires many students from around the world. That's where I met my girlfriend. We began hanging out after work. we would take drives together, walks during the night, and really enjoyed each others company. Everything was perfect, minus the fact that we both knew our time was limited.
We spent most of our time together with friends, and family. Slowly our time was running thin, she even re-booked her flight to a later date and closer location. Ever moment was sacerd to us. The last night we were together i gave her a promise ring. We had discussed our future together and decided to stay together. How could you let something so perfect, and so strong, be gone.
I got up the next morning and made french toast :) My family said thier good byes that afternoon, and we left. A qiuck last lunch together, and an emotion ride to the airport. there was no good bye between us. a long kiss and a see you later. Then I cried.
The calls were frequent at first. then she started school. and everything seemed further away. Now we have been apart for about two months. I have booked flights to see her next spring. This is where it gets hard. we don't get to talk but maybe once a week. E-mail is not consistant, and conversation is not satisfying. We have decided to take things as they come, and although we are still together, i am heart broken. I feel so distant from her.
If i could afford to see her during the winter break it would be nice. it is an akward feeling. and i confused. How could this change into that? There is not an end to my story, Hopefully this is the begining. This thought is what keeps me. "If I am blessed with tomorrow then today would have been worth it."
I can only take what is offered, and accept what is given.
