Long Distance Relationship
Story of the Week

Hi. I am going to tell a real-life story about a guy that I first fell in love with. It happen in the summer. My family decided to take a vacation up north to the city of Sturegon Falls, Ontario. I have a rented cottage on this place called Sandy Haven. It is most beautiful and romantic place to meet a guy. Well, I arrive with my family unpacking my car to move the stuff on the boat. There was this guy I saw. It was like first love at first sight. I never really had a boyfriend before because I am really shy at my school and mostly shy around guys. I don't have courage to stand up to them and just normally talk to them. But I had a problem. This guy I saw unpacking his car was really hot and I didn't know what to do. After we unpack the car we jumped into the boat with groups of other people who are also going to Sandy Haven.

The thing is I couldn't stop watching him and I felt so attracted to him. It was like my first love. I didn't talk to him or met him yet. I needed to find out a way to try to meet him. After we arrived at the cottages, we unpack the boat and headed to our rented cottage. After a long day of relaxing at my cottage, I get bored and listened music at my dock. After sunset,a girl around 20 years of age came to me to talk about fishing tommorrow and the places where to fish. Then he came with his guitar and sit beside me at the dock. I couldn't help myself turning red and I was like shaking because he was sitting beside me! After the girl left, because she needed to get tommorrow morning to go fishing. I stayed quiet beside him and I had no clue what to do. Finally he spoke to me and told me about how's the cottage. He told me his name and it was R.J. He said he was 17. He gave me more information.

Finally I had more courage to talk to him. We talked for hours and hours not wanting to stop. It was amazing. It was like my first relationship with a guy. Wow. Then I told him I never had a boyfriend and I never kissed a guy before. Then he asked to kiss him. I was too shy and didn't want to say anything Finally I rejected. He felt bad. I can tell. I felt the same thing. He told me to meet me at the same place and the same time tommorrow. The next day,we basically did the same thing but our relatiomship started to grow much stronger. Then he asked again. I said the same thing "rejection". I wasn't ready to do my first kiss. I wanted to find a perfect moment when we can do it. This wasn't the perfect moment. I waited another day. Same thing happened. 'Til finally one of our final nights together, I said yes. I thought it was time to say 'yes'. He came closely to me and place his gentle hand on my cheek to move my hair bangs away from my face. Then he grew closer and placing his hand on my back and he placed a gentle peck (kinda of kiss) on me. I felt it was first love. I couldn't believe that first kiss felt like I can spend the rest of my life with him. Then he tried to place another kiss instead of a peck it was a french-kiss. It felt so good. I was really attracted to him.

After that kiss, he told me goodnite and left back to his cottage. I did the same. I felt I was crying. It was the last day I am going to spend with him because our vacation was week long and his family and him had to go to USA. I had to go unpack the boat to go back to my hometown London, Ont, Canada. I was miserable. I said my goodbye and exchange e-mails, phone number and addresses. But it wasn't the same. We were going to have long-distance relationship. I e-mailed him 3 times a week and he e-mailed me twice a week. I phoned at least once a week. I needed to buy a phone card and everytime. It wasn't the same. I felt sad because I couldn't be with him and I was like in a divorce in a separation that we can't see each other. Today, I e-mail him all the time and next summer, I am going to meet him again but that summer, I changed so much and he made the changes. I ddin't became shy and I am more open now. I have tons of friends. I hope this story helps. Thanks. ~Susan~
